One main reason Celtic do not take the correct action against the Press & Media!

One of the main reasons Celtic have not taken action against the misrepresentation of facts like that of the Rangers supporting Keith Jackson in today’s Daily Record, is due in part to the weak PR department Celtic have. When I worked in the building there was not a single Celtic fan working in the PR department from the three people there at the time.
In this critically vital area of words coming from Celtic to their support, in this case with regards to what the Club are prepared to accept from, for example the contortion of Neil Lennon’s after match chat yesterday, you most definitely require a Celtic heart & mind to notice, be aware & react to headlines like those in the atrocious Daily Record Sport today.
Embarrassingly, the person who reacted today was our manager and not Celtic’s PR.
Yes, the words were put out via the Celtic website, but I have no doubt Neil initiated that statement, and NOT the Club’s PR. Once again Lennon has had to be detracted from team matters to sort out something this very weak & un-responsive PR at Celtic should have been pin-pricked into taking action themselves!
The main or one of the main PR people at Celtic today is Iain Jamison who never hid the fact he was a Hearts supporter! This person is wholly or part responsible by doing nothing - requiring Lennon having to react to these headlines and story contortion when Jamieson should be dealing with it.
In recent years Celtic PLC have been more akin to employing corporate nodding donkeys with plasticised CV’s who DO NOT STICK UP FOR CELTIC WHEN WE ARE IN THE RIGHT, when it’s their job to be pro-active and react to headlines like today! There are more like him with no beating Celtic heart in positions of influence with egos bigger than any love they proclaim to have for the Club.
At the moment I am verifying a story regarding another Celtic media employee, one who cannot stop talking about himself, with word  that a serious number of Celtic fans may have been duped and/or mislead by his actions which could have serious consequences for them! More on that when the exact facts on the matter are learned!
Football Clubs generally DO NOT take sanctions by way of banning the press & media when they are criticised, whether that criticism is justified or not, from official Club press conferences! BUT they must take action against the gross misrepresentation of what was actually said by Lennon after yesterday’s game, compared to what appeared in the Record today. Stop pussy footing about and get stuck into those who portray Neil Lennon & Celtic in this warped and mangled manner!

A Journalist without a clue!

A Journalist without a clue!
Kaye Adams, the journalist & broadcaster, said in the Sun today : "I don’t have the stomach to be caught up in another season of endless radio discussions about sectarianism & violence. No pressure but I’m pinning my hopes on Rangers boss Ally McCoist. His reputation has always been that of a peacemaker, a sparkly personality, bringing people together with his humour & wit. He has the potential to be a great Ambassador for Scottish football”
Personally, I find that sycophantic approach to a huge problem totally gut wrenching! This poor woman requires to put her uncontrollable ego back in her drawer, then educate herself on the havoc that sectarianism & what the related violence is doing in Scottish society! Where was she when her boy McCoist was creating mega trouble in the Scottish Cup tie at Celtic Park last season? Yes he was the source behind the creation of ‘Mr Salmond’s save all in Scotland’ summit.
McCoist, the potential to be a great Ambassador for Scottish football! You couldn’t make it up. The reality is - she did. Part of the solution! No. She is part of the problem!

Four favourite Celtic occasions!

Been asked by a Twitter follower what my favourite Celtic moments were. There are many but I will go for four games/events I was actually at.
(1) Celtic Park for our 3-1 victory in April 1967 over Dukla Prague in the first leg of European Cup semi-final! For a wee Bhoy this was an exhilarating experience. Walking down London Road holding my late dad’s hand & continually looking back at the four column floodlights, thinking, this is very, very special. A total Celtic brain imprint!
(2) Charlie Nicholas scoring a last minute goal against Ajax in Amsterdam in 1982 putting us through in Europe by winning 2-1 after we drew the first leg at Celtic Park 2-2 with the great Cryuff playing!
(3) Stopping any possible ‘10’ happening in final game against St Johnstone in May 1988. Henrik’s early goal settled the nerves in our 2-0 victory sealing the Championship!
(4) Outside Celtic Park in the driving rain on the night of March 4th 1994, when the old board collapsed after the successful ‘Celts for Change’ fans campaign to rid the Club of them. Brian Dempsey came out to address the cheering fans and was told by Fergus McCann to say “The game (pause), the game is over, the rebels have won”. Sheer fan power paved the way for the money men to come in!
There are many more, but the above are 4 wonderful occasions for me!
