Update on the communication sent to Fergus McCann to unfurl this season's Championship Flag!

After a fair bit of interest from Celtic fans on Twitter to invite Fergus over to Glasgow from his home in Boston to unfurl the Championship Flag on August 4^th, a communication was sent to him after a meeting between myself and a close friend of Fergus’, with a tentative approach as to whether he’d first of all be interested. Understandably he was non-committal with the idea floated to him, basically because Celtic would first of all have to make the approach to Fergus in an official manner.

 To date Celtic has not asked him and that’s where we stand at the moment.

A petition has been set up at www.octavedoctor.com  where over 1,700 fans have voted 99% in favour. Perhaps if enough interest was created, by say between 5,000-7,000 voting in favour, then Celtic would hopefully take notice. Let’s give it a try and hopefully wipe out a bad memory for the man who put his money where his mouth was on March 4^th 1994 steering us well clear of the position Rangers are in today. Hail Hail.
